What is Halloween without Halloween candy?
Too many on my street turn off their lights because they don’t want to be bothered by kids knocking on their door. I put out a few pumpkins, turn on my lights, and get ready fo the kids.
Some years there are more than others, but they always come. And of course, we always have lots of candy left over. I would not like to run out and have those kids play a trick on me.
When I was a kid, we used a pillow case to get our stuff. It seems that during the Great Depression that apples were cheap so we got another apple. We didn’t complain. We just took the apple, threw it in our sack and moved on.
It was a great time and I want kids to continue to have fun on Halloween. Some folks don’t like Halloween, Christmas and Easter because they were once pagan celebrations. Well, the kids don’t know that.
Let them have their fun!
